Day 23 Mixed Media Art Challenge

“By descending down into the depths of the soul, and not primarily by a painful acquisition of many manual skills, the artist attains the power of awakening other souls.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Day 23 of our mixed media art challenge and its going swimmingly! We are literally pouring emotions into these pieces, and its extremely therapeutic. Art is therapy! Give it a try!
You don't have to be Pablo Picasso to start creating art today, start with what you have, you don't have to buy expensive equipment or materials either. Look around your house for things you could potentially use to make art.

In todays piece, we used Crayola crayons, acrylic paint, Edding gold pens, and we added digital effects using Pixlr. We are loving the vibrant colours and the overall end result.

We are currently doing a 52 week art journaling challenge on our healthy living and creative expression YouTube channel. Check out the playlist here>>>> 52 week art journaling playlist
