I just had to post this video, I haven't done much blogging this holiday season. Sorry! I been so busy trying to get things in order for the new year. So many things to get done and finish off before the new year arrives. I hate going into a new year with lots of loose ends to tie up, it drives me insane! I just love Audrey Hepburn! In fact I love old movies and old movie stars! So glamourous and flawless! I love that era! Anyway, as part of the retro beauty tips series here is an Audrey beauty tip! Rumor has it that the perfect baby doll Audrey Hepburn used to use a pin to separate each lash as she applied a layer of mascara to every lash individually. She did have perfect lashes but that is a lot of work don't you think??? she was gorgeous though right?

Retro Beauty Tips Marilyn Monroe

I totally love Marilyn Monroe, I have a gorgeous picture of her in my bedroom. Anyway, I just found out today that she did some strange things to keep herself looking fresh on camera.  She used to apply a PH Hormone cream to her face before she applied her foundation,  layering it on really thick to give her skin a glow on camera. This cream caused her to develop thick blonde hairs on her face!

A better way to get this look would be to apply a really good quality primer as a base, and then foundation and a shimmering powder as a highlight. I love Smashbox photo finish foundation primer

Nicole Scherzinger and that "Glove"

Nicole Scherzinger and her metallic glove

Last night on X Factor, Nicole Scherzinger wore this really cool metal glove. I have been reading a few of the reviews online about the glove and most of the reviews have been negative. I personally loved it!!!! Well, I am a huge fan of fingerless gloves and strange, quirky styling so that's probably why I like it!

Most other reports have labelled the glove "menacing" or "strange." Don't know what they are talking about, I think it looks fab!
