Oh my my my! Willow Smith is giving me life right now. At the tender age of just 14 she is dropping some gems. I have heard a lot of people dissing her like she is grown. Remember she is still a baby! She  is riding on the neo soul, alternative R&B trippy wave right now. I adore this style of music, it sends to me another planet.

I watched her performance with her brother Jaden the other day. They performed a tune called '5' I scrolled through the comments and there was a lot of negative feedback. This didn't affect my opinion. Her style is interesting, she may have some developing to do in terms of vocals. But so what, she is still really young. 

I also caught her glimpse of her performance with SZA. At one point I was kind of obsessed with SZA. But I digress, let's get back to the star of the show. Willow, she reminds me of the 1960's. Even though I wasn't alive in that era. She has something authentic about her. Like she just allows her creative juices to flow with no inhibition. I really hope that she maintains that authenticity. Some have it and they lose it as they become tainted by reality. Tainted by endless criticism and the need to fit into some kind of society constructed box. 

I'm excited, very excited about the musical progression and evolution of Willow Smith. Check out the performances below. As well a really dope freestyle called 'Female Energy'

30 Selfies in 30 Days Instagram Challenge: Complete!

Hey beautiful people!  I have just completed my 30 selfies in 30 days challenge over on my personal Instagram page. The purpose of the challenge was to improve my confidence and to encourage people to love themselves more. Social media has a way of making you feel like crap, especially if you have low self esteem. With all these airbrushed pictures of celebs, and airbrushed pictures of wannabe celebs. It can make you want to bury your head in a very thick duvet and cry for days.

My confidence dropped dramatically after I had my son. I still haven't fully lost my baby weight and at one point I was struggling with my self confidence. Recently my self esteem has shot up, but I really wanted to do something to encourage people, especially women to look at themselves in the mirror and love themselves. I am not  just talking about loving the exterior, I am also talking about loving yourself from the inside.

On day 1 of the challenge, I actually felt like crap. I was pretty tired, pretty run down and I was kind of fed up to be honest. Although my confidence levels were higher than they were when my son was younger. I still did not feel my best, by the end of the 7th day on the challenge I felt great. There were some days when I really didn't feel like taking a selfie. I really just wanted to cover my face with a cloth and then take the selfie. On days like this, I actually just made a piece of photo art. I am  really glad I did the challenge, and I am looking forward to doing more 30 day challenges.

Philippe Vignall Painting

Whilst tumbling on one of my fave social network sites, Tumblr. I came across this really cool painting. In fact there were a number of them. This was just my favourite one. The painting is by Philippe Vignall.  It depicts an exceptionally beautiful dark skin woman. On first glance, I thought it was a photograph. After further inspection I realised that it was in fact a painting.

Hey beautiful people! I am thinking about designing a perfect white workspace. I have been totally obsessed with searching interior design pics on Tumblr and here some of the cool pics I have found. I am going to put together a mood board and get to work really soon on this.  My home workspace is a bit all over the place at the moment and it is seriously doing my head in. I need to do something about it. I love the clean minimalist look, so that's the look I am aiming  for.

Hey lovely people! I rarely post music stuff on here because I do have a dedicated music blog. Which is Sound Synergy.  I just wanted to do a quick post about this really talented artist called Erik Hassle. I am loving his stuff at the moment, and just wanted to share it.
