Day 18: Mixed Media Art Challenge

“Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.”
― RumiThe Essential Rumi

Creating daily

Today is day 18 of 30  of our Mixed Media art challenge where we create one piece of mixed media art every single day. The theme for the day is creating your own story, instead of concerning yourself with what others are doing, focus on your journey, focus on your goal, focus on your creative plans. Practice, work hard, believe, dedicate yourself and you will reap the rewards in the long run.
Also remember to challenge yourself, push past barriers, jump through obstacles and continue to pull your dreams to Earth. Nothing, or no one can stop you, as long as you believe wholeheartedly in yourself and what you plan to achieve.

Todays piece was created using Sharpie pens, Edding gold pens and white acrylic paint. We used the white acrylic paint as a primer instead of Gesso because we didn't have any to hand. We then added digital effects using Photoshop and Pixlr.

We hope you are enjoying the 30 days series so far, remember to shout us on Twitter and Instagram, we want to see your mixed media pieces. If you haven't started an art challenge, start today!
